The Hope Academy offers several options for families seeking accredited programs. Before reaching out, and to have a better idea of our offerings, please read the articles below.
“Accreditation is offered to institutions by accrediting agencies which accredit public schools, private schools, university model schools, colleges and universities. These schools and universities can be accredited because they are institutions.”
—The Homeschool Mom
How does accreditation work?
But then, what is an accredited homeschool program?
There are two types of accredited programs: umbrella schools, like I-School and accredited homeschool programs. Both take the curriculum planning, transcript creation, and college counseling off your hands. To be clear- both options can be utilized at home. Accredited programs, like the ones mentioned in the article, do not have to be overseen by a co-op or tutors.
We are passionate about this subject at The Hope Academy as the misconceptions surrounding accreditation often overwhelm homeschoolers, making homeschooling seem less attainable.
Is Accreditation Always Necessary?
So… my homeschooled child can graduate with a high school diploma and get into college? Without an accredited program?
If you have made it this far and still think that an accredited program is right for your student’s needs, we have three options for you. If you would like to know more about our non-accredited programs for High School, click here.
